BorghiNow is an Italian digital platform founded in 2025 that aggregates local events, festivals and celebrations from small Italian municipalities.
Using a system of artificial intelligence and human verification, BorghiNow collects and digitizes events from hundreds of official sources and makes them easily accessible to tourists, residents and event organizers.
In Italian villages, it's hard to know what events are really happening.
The information exists online, but it's scattered across outdated municipal websites, Facebook pages, local tourism portals and dozens of different aggregators. Change the region and the websites to check change too. Moreover, most events are only published in Italian, making them practically invisible to foreign tourists searching for "events in Italy" or "things to do in Italian villages".
BorghiNow was born to bring together all the events of Italian villages in one place, finally making them easy to find and soon also available in multiple languages.
Our platform with artificial intelligence automatically analyzes over 400 official sources - municipalities, Pro Loco, cultural associations, regional portals and local aggregators - collecting events 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each event is then manually verified by our team to ensure accuracy on dates, times and locations.
Today BorghiNow offers complete coverage in Puglia and Calabria with over 200 villages and 10,000+ always updated events, with the goal of reaching all Italian villages by 2026.
The service is completely free for tourists, residents and event organizers. Organizers can add their events for free through our submission form, making them visible to thousands of users.
From a poster on a bulletin board to the national platform for local events
The idea of BorghiNow was born in a typical Italian village, during a walk through alleys and squares. On a bulletin board appeared a handwritten poster announcing the "New Oil Festival at 8:00 PM" (?). An authentic event but practically impossible to discover for those who don't pass in front of that board.
The question was immediate: "How many people are missing this event?" Not just foreign tourists who can't read Italian posters, but also those visiting nearby villages who would like to know what to do tonight without having to open dozens of websites, Facebook pages or be in the right WhatsApp groups.
We observed a common problem: each village has its own sources, often scattered across various different websites. Difficult to navigate sites, fragmented information, dates and times scattered in different places. For those traveling from one place to another - Italians or foreigners - it's almost impossible to have a clear view of what's really happening nearby. There is no single place to find all events.
At that moment BorghiNow was born: a platform that brings village events online and finally makes it possible to discover, in a few seconds, what's happening in small Italian communities without having to search ten different sites. A simple, accessible place designed for those who travel, explore and want to truly experience the Italy of small villages.
Posters and bulletin boards
Real events, but invisible online.
Too many sources
Hard to find them all.
1 app, all events
BorghiNow centralizes.
๐ฏ Our goal
By 2026 we want to cover all of Italy. Every aprรจs-ski drink in Trentino, every porchetta festival in Lazio, every patron saint festival in Campania, every craft market in Tuscany - all on BorghiNow.
We want a foreign tourist to be able to search "events in Italy this weekend" and find dozens of authentic options in small villages, not just the usual attractions of big cities. We want residents to be able to discover what's happening in the village 10 km from their home without having "the local friend" who always tells them everything.
Artificial Intelligence + Human Control = Accurate and always updated events
BorghiNow uses an artificial intelligence system that daily analyzes hundreds of sources including municipal websites, Pro Loco social pages, local tourism portals and digital bulletin boards. AI automatically identifies new events, extracts the main information (title, date, place, description) and organizes them uniformly.
The system performs continuous discovery: when a new city or new channel is detected, it is automatically added to the monitoring network. This allows BorghiNow to grow every week, without manual interventions on each individual source.
After automatic analysis, when necessary, events are verified and approved by our team. We check dates, times, locations, remove duplicates and correct any missing information.

We are building the first national map of Italian village events
BorghiNow started by mapping over 100 Italian villages, consolidating event collection in some pilot municipalities. Every week new municipalities, new sources and new geographical areas are added: the automatic discovery system allows the platform to grow constantly and scalably.
The roadmap includes progressive extension to all regions of Italy, with the goal of covering 1,000+ villages by the project maturity phase. From internal Apennine areas to Southern coasts, from small Alpine centers to hill villages, every local community deserves to be visible online.
Every week new villages, new sources
Our network grows continuously: AI identifies new cities and new events, while the team verifies the information and makes it accessible on the platform. Thus, what previously existed only offline finally becomes visible online.
